Living it up in Plaza Midwood

This intimate community will provide the appropriate transition between the business district and surrounding single family homes. Three, four-unit condominium buildings that are of the scale of a large house shall be constructed. We believe a true community shouldn't be gated or fenced in – it should seamlessly meld into its surroundings.

Plaza Midwood is one of Charlotte’s most established urban neighborhoods.  It houses one of the City’s most exclusive institutions, The Charlotte Country Club and other notable landmarks such as the Van Landingham Estate conference center.  Parts of the community carry both National and Local Historic District designations.  The Charlotte Art Transit System street car expansion will begin to service parts of this community in 2019.

In recent years, several higher end restaurants, pubs and other entertainment venues along with the Healthy Home Market grocery stores have redefined this area as the most comprehensive, walkable urban commercial district in Charlotte.  According to www.walkscore.com, the walk score for this block is 83.  Walkscore is a website the evaluates area amenities and characteristics to quantify its walkability.  By default, it is also an indicator of community quality of life.  This walk score means that you can get “most of your errands accomplished on foot”.
